The source of the River Thames is near the Village of Kemble, in the Gloucestershire, and flows
for 215 miles to the English Channel near Southend. This tour follows the length of this mighty river. We start in Oxford with an afternoon two hour cruise to Abingdon. The following day we cruise through the Thames Valley from Caversham Bridge in Reading to Henley on Thames, passing through scenic countryside and the village of Sonning. We start our final cruise the next day at Kew for a 90 minute trip into Central London ending at Westminster.

This 4 star hotel is set in 17 acres of beautiful grounds and is 8 miles from the historic centre of Oxford. Rooms at the Belfry are set around 2 courtyards with flower borders and a sparkling fountain and the hotel offers guests an indoor swimming pool and spa facilities. Friday 25th June
Leaving Devon and make our way to our first hotel near Oxford. On route we travel to Christ Church Meadows in Oxford where we board our first river boat and make our way to the picturesque market town of Abingdon. As we sail down the river we pass through beautiful countryside with highlights including the Oxford University Inter College Regatta course and the magnificent Nuneham House. Then on to our hotel in time for dinner.
DSaturday 26th June
After a full English breakfast we make our way to Caversham Bridge in Reading for our second cruise with Salters Steamers, sailing to the bustling town of Henley. As we pass through beautiful countryside rich in wildlife you will see the immaculate grounds of Park Place and Holme Park as well as the lavishly opulent riverside properties of Wargrave and Henley. There will be time to explore Henley-On-Thames before we head back to our hotel in Oxford for dinner.
D, FESunday 27th June
This will be our last breakfast at The Oxford Belfry before our final cruise from Kew to Westminster Pier in London. This cruise takes approximately 90 minutes and passes along the course of the University Boat Race, sailing past Chiswick, Barnes, Putney, Battersea and Chelsea. In the afternoon you will have time to explore the area around Westminster, famous for the Houses of Parliament or South Bank, near to the London Eye, before checking into our hotel, The Tower Hotel, near to Tower Bridge where you have the evening free to enjoy one of the many restaurants nearby.
FEMonday 28th June
After a leisurely breakfast you have free time to explore London, in the early afternoon we return home to Devon.
