We love our London trips and are always on the lookout for something different. This time our treat is a Blue Badge Guide tour of Borough Market, a fascinating area with connections to Shakespeare, Chaucer and Dickens, followed by a tour of London Docks and Canary Wharf. It’ll be the best fun you’ve had in donkeys (ears – years). Also included in this long weekend visit to London is a Grand Tour of the Royal Albert Hall where you will take a peek at some of the Royal areas of the hall and see where the World's stars have preformed.

Friday 7 May
We travel to London and visit the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, a Hindu temple in Neasden, This Intricately sculpted Hindu temple was built entirely using traditional methods and materials, and is Britain's first authentic Hindu temple. Arriving at our hotel late afternoon/early evening. The hotel offers guests the chance to dine in its modern Brasserie Restaurant or there are plenty of other places to choose from in nearby St Katharine's Dock.
Saturday 8 May
Today we enjoy a walking tour with a London Blue Badge Guide to discover the historic area of Bankside. This is a fascinating area with connections to literary figures Shakespeare, Chaucer & Dickens, walking along to the Globe Theatre and Southwark Cathedral. After the tour there'll be time for lunch and free time to visit Borough Market, a food market full of culinary delights. After lunch we drive to the royal docks and Canary Wharf, with a commentary on route about the history of the docks and their regeneration. Georgian warehouses t, gleaming towers and great river views all feature.
Sunday 9 May
Today enjoy a free day to explore, sightsee or shop.
FEMonday 10 May
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast with time to pack before we leave the hotel and make our way back to The Royal Albert Hall for midday where we have a 'Grand Tour' of this breath-taking auditorium. Together with a friendly guide we take you for a peek at some of the royal areas of the hall, you'll see where the world's stars have performed. You will find out how the building was funded and the Royal love story that nearly stopped it from being built. Later that afternoon we will make our way home to Devon with comfort stops on the way.
