Leaving Devon we make our way to our hotel in Maidstone with comfort stops on route.
DTuesday 14th Sept
Today we enjoy a visit Canterbury. With leisure time in the historic city, famed for its magnificent cathedral, medieval buildings and quaint tea shops.

Today we visit Leeds Castle Flower Festival. The annual Leeds Castle Festival of Flowers sees the Castle and grounds transformed by thousands of beautiful blooms. Created by international award-winning designers and the castle's own floristry team, the Castle's State Rooms and grounds will be adorned with elaborate floral creations. The loveliest castle in the world looks breath taking!.Set in 500 acres of beautiful parkland, this famous castle is often used as set for TV series. Listed in the Domesday Book as a Saxon manor, the castle was also a Norman stronghold, home to six of England's medieval queens, a preferred residence of Henry VIII, a Jacobean country house; a Georgian mansion; an elegant early 20th century retreat for the influential and famous; and in the 21st century, it has become one of the most visited historic buildings in Britain. In the beautiful Gardens there are also a yew Maze and underground Grotto.

This morning we visit the town of Rye. This town has nooks and crannies to explore and distant views across to Romney Marsh. We end the day with a visit to Chapel Down Vineyard here we enjoy a 90 minute guided winery and tasting tour. Home to award-winning wines, this state-of-the-art winery offers lovely facilities, stunning surroundings and sweeping views.
