The long-held traditions of the military will be centre stage at Britains biggest indoor International Tattoo with over 1,000 performers coming together in marching bands, exciting displays and a spectacular Grand Finale.
Youll see fascinating displays including the Royal Air Force Cosford Queens Colour, the Charity Field Gun Competition and the Parade of Massed Standards. This year there are special guest appearances by the British tenor Tim Pitman and the UK's singing sensation Rebecca Robinson and this compelling event concludes with a rousing rendition of Land of Hope and Glory, the Evening Hymn and the Lone Piper. Rounding off our international theme enjoy time to visit the biggest German market in the UK in the city of Birmingham.

We travel to our hotel in Birmingham, with a stop at Gloucester Quays on the way. Arriving at our hotel with time to unpack and settle into our room before dinner is served.
DSaturday 27th Nov
After a leisurely breakfast you have time to enjoy the largest German Christmas market in the UK, explore Birmingham and its great attractions with time for dinner (at one of the many restaurants near the hotel) before making your way to the Barclaycard Arena (a short walk from the hotel) for the evening performance of the Birmingham Tattoo.
In the evening is the highlight of this trip - We have the best tickets in the house for the matinee. Britain's biggest indoor international tattoo, with over 1,000 performers, returns to The Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham at bringing together marching bands, exciting displays and culminating in the spectacular Grand Finale featuring all the performers in a spectacle of pomp and pageantry.
The 2019 Birmingham International Tattoo included all the regular elements including massed bands, spectacular displays and massed standards. Sharing the arena with the musicians during the three-hour family event was a range of spectacular displays including Royal Air Force Cosford Queen's Colour, the RNRMC Field Gun Competition, the United Kingdom Disco Display Team and the Parade of Massed Standards.
The Birmingham International Tattoo culminated in a Spectacular Grand Finale featuring the Massed Bands and special guest appearances by vocal soloists Captain Gary Chilton (from The Soldiers) and Staff Sgt. Dave Barnes (as seen on The Voice). The event would not be complete without the popular Closing Ceremony which featured the Royal Air Force Cosford Queen's Colour and Escort, the traditional Land of Hope and Glory, the Evening Hymn and the Lone Piper. The itinerary for 2021 has not yet been announced.

After a full English breakfast we return to the South Hams via Swindon, with a stop at the McArthurGlen designer outlet, or you can visit the museum of the Great Western Railway*(*entrance fee applies)
