Sunday 24th Oct

We leave Devon and make our way to our the market town of Chipping Campden one of the loveliest small towns in the Cotswolds and a gilded masterpiece of limestone and craftsmanship, the high street contains the 2nd highest densitry of listed buildings in the country. Arriving at our hotel before dinner.

Monday 25th Oct

After a full English breakfast we travel to Westonbirt to enjoy this beautiful National Aboretum with all its Autumn colours on display. In the afternoon we have time to wonder around Tetbury, the home of Prince Charles with lots of antique shops and individual shops.

Tuesay 26th Oct

After a leisurely breakfast we visit Slimbridge Wildlife and Wetland Centre, this was the first Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust to be opened, on the 10th of November 1946, due to the vision of Sir Peter Scott. Slimbridge Wetland Centre cares for and studies ducks, geese and swans of the world and offers excellent opportunity for bird watchers and photography. This evening we join the Pudding Club for dinner (and puddings!) with a talk from the "pudding master"! We depart with certificates in hand!

Monday 27th Oct

Today we explore the beautiful gardens at Sezincote (pronounced seas in coat), often referred to as India in the Cotswolds Sezincote is unique. At the heart of a traditional, family-run estate covering 3,500 acres of rolling Cotswold countryside stands a 200-year-old Mogul Indian palace, set in a romantic landscape of temples, grottoes, waterfalls and canals reminiscent of the Taj Mahal. In the afternoon we visit the town of Moreton-in-Marsh, located at the head of the beautiful Evenlode Valley and dating back to 1000 years to the Saxon era. The broad High Street is lined with elegant 17th and 18th Century building where you will find antique shops, tea shops, restaurants and inns along with The White Hart Inn where King Charles I stayed in 1642.

We return home to South Devon, stopping at Circenester on the way.
